I’m new to photography and about to start a beginners course, and was wondering what would be a good overpass camera to start with.

I now have a fuji s1000fd though it seems that a picture peculiarity is not so good and I’ve review loads about many cameras have picture stabilisation that this is lacking.

So any suggestions would be great.
